The ITMA Tea Sommelier Certification Course™ for becoming an ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier™ starts with the 2-Day ITMA Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Course™ held on-site at the Four Points by Sheraton San Diego – Sea World on April 15th – 16th, from 9am to 5pm each day. The 8-Week ITMA Tea Sommelier Tasting Course™ starts the following week involving home study, tasting and evaluating 18 different teas, and periodic online teleconferences to share experiences and ask questions. This will be followed by tasting and evaluating a Mystery Tea, a Report (oral or written) on a topic assigned by ITMA, and a Final Examination ($95 Examination Fee).
The training will be led by ITMA Certified Tea Master™ and ITMA Executive Director Chas Kroll. Kroll is the former owner of a successful online tea company. He is a highly competent, knowledgeable senior trainer with extensive experience in the tea industry. With a strong background in tea, he is considered a master among tea masters and will make this an especially memorable, life changing experience for everyone.

Single/double occupancy room rate of $150.00. The 2-Day Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Course™ will be held in a meeting room at the hotel , which accommodates up to 10 registrants. Seating is limited.
The training contains all the educational requirements an individual needs for achieving the association’s prestigious ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier™ designation once the program, blind tea tasting, oral (5 minute) or written (4 page) dissertation with a subject assigned by the ITMA, and 100+ question final examination are successfully completed.
Registrants will experience some of the most exquisite loose-leaf teas from around the world. The training will also include: Health Benefits of Tea; Caffeine & Theanine; and Valuable Guest Service Skills.

Registrants achieving the ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier designation are eligible to enroll in the ITMA Tea Master Certification Course™ for becoming an ITMA Certified Tea Master™ or ITMA Certified Tea Taster™ available in San Diego, California.
