The intensive 3-day experiential, hands-on ITMA Certified Tea Blending Course™ focuses on the secrets and mysteries of tea blending, along with professional techniques for developing both traditional blends and signature formulas. Due to the complexities of tea blending, the course is conducted on-site at an appropriate training facility and cannot be effectively delivered in an on-line format over the Internet.
The 3-day training will be followed by home study involving various blending formulations and periodic online sessions for support. Registrants completing the training will be awarded an ITMA Certificate of Completion.
With blended teas the first choice among many tea drinkers today, registrants will be trained in blending various types and grades of tea with other teas and with ingredients like herbs, dried fruit, flowers and flower petals, and spices. Registrants will learn to create professional blends, based on traditional formulas and current market demand, achieving results based on the technical criteria acquired during the program.
The course is ideally suited for restaurant and tea business owners and managers, wine and tea sommeliers, chefs, caterers, tea aficionados, industry suppliers, and others who wish to incorporate tea blending skills into their daily lives or current profession.
The course will be conducted by an ITMA Certified Tea Master™ and ITMA Certified Tea Blender™, who is committed to making the event a memorable life-changing experience for each registrant.
Tuition for the ITMA Certified Tea Blending Course™ is $1,975 for ITMA Members ($2,225 for non-members). Seating is limited. A $250 non-refundable tuition-deposit is required to register for the course.
