Recognized throughout the world as the Gold Standard in tea education,  the  International Tea Masters Association is offering the ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier Course™ in Baguio, on the Philippines’ Luzon island, to anyone wanting to become an ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier™, a prestigious title in the tea industry.

The training starts with the 2-Day ITMA Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Course held on-site at the Azalea Hotels & Residences on August 10th & 11th, 2017, from 9am to 5pm each day. The 8-Week ITMA Tea Sommelier Tasting Course starts the following week involving home study, tasting and evaluating 18 different teas, and periodic online conference sessions to share experiences and ask questions.  This will be followed by tasting and evaluating a Mystery Tea, a Report (oral or written) on a topic assigned by ITMA, and a Final Examination ($95 Examination Fee).

The training will be led by ITMA Certified Tea Master™ Rocel Leoncio, a native of the Philippines and life-long tea aficionado. She promises to make this an especially memorable, life changing experience for everyone.

Accommodations are available at the Azalea Hotels & Residences (2F Orlando Suites, Estrada St., Malate, Manila. $74.10 per night.  All rooms have: Kitchen and Dining Area• Electric Cooktops with Range Hood• Microwave Oven• Refrigerator• Cookware). The 2-Day ITMA  Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Coursewill be held the Boardroom at the hotel, which accommodates up to 10 registrants. Seating is limited.

The training contains all the educational requirements an individual needs for achieving the association’s prestigious ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier designation once the program, blind tea tasting, dissertation, and final examination are successfully completed.

Registrants will experience some of the most exquisite and often rarest loose-leaf teas from around the world. The training will also include: Health Benefits of Tea and Valuable Guest Service Skills.
