- 2-day – ITMA Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Course™ (on-site at hotel)
- 8-week – ITMA Tea Sommelier Tasting Course™ (home study)
The 2-Day ITMA Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Course™ will be held July 19th & 20th on-site at a venue to be announved. The 2-Day Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Course™ will be held in a Meeting Room at the hotel. The course is open to 8 registrants. Seating is limited.
The 8-Week ITMA Tea Sommelier Tasting Course™ begins a week after the conclusion of the 2-Day ITMA Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Course™. This part of the training is focused on integrating and expanding what was learned during the first part. Registrants will be working at home from the ITMA Tea Sommelier Tasting Course Training Manual™ with nine departments, each on a separate variety of tea. They will be provided with two different tea samples corresponding to each chapter (i.e., 2 types of Japanese Green Tea, Chinese Green Tea, etc.). They will be assigned a different chapter each week and asked to taste and evaluate the two corresponding tea samples according to the protocol learned in the first part of the course, and then asked to submit their evaluations in a special online form created for this purpose.
Once completed, registrants will be asked to taste and evaluate a “Mystery Tea,” complete an oral or written Dissertation assigned by ITMA, , and take a Final Examination ($95 Examination Fee). Graduates will be honored with the ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier™ designation and an ITMA Certificate of Completion. They will conclude this course with a truly unique knowledge unlike any other tea course being offered throughout the world.
The course holds the high level of focus and support needed to gain the competence and confidence to serve as a distinguished tea sommelier at any upscale restaurant, hotel, or tea business, or expand or start one’s own successful tea business.
Tuition for the ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier Course™ is US$1,475 for International Tea Masters Association members (US$1,725 for nonmembers), To register, post a US$250 non-refundable tuition deposit using the button below.
