Just imagine being trained to become an ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier™ in magnificent San Francisco, the hub of the U.S. tea industry. This phenomenal 8-Week ITMA Tea Mastery Certification Course™, a two-month, two-part program, contains all the educational requirements an individual needs for achieving the prestigious ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier™ designation. It starts with the 2-Day ITMA Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Course™ held on-site at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown San Francisco on July 20rd & 21th, from 9am to 5pm each day. The 8-Week ITMA Tea Sommelier Tasting Course™ starts the following week involving home study, tasting and evaluating 18 different teas, and periodic online teleconferences to share experiences and ask questions. This will be followed by tasting and evaluating a Mystery Tea, a Report (oral or written) on a topic assigned by ITMA, and a Final Examination ($95 Examination Fee).
The course holds the high level of focus and support needed to gain the competence and confidence to serve as a distinguished tea sommelier at any upscale restaurant, hotel, or tea business, or expand or start one’s own successful tea business.
The training will be conducted by ITMA Certified Tea Master™ and ITMA Certified Tea Blender™ Melissa Salazar, a true tea expert with a successful online tea business. She promises to make this an especially memorable, life-changing experience for everyone.
Accommodations are available at the Courtyard Marriott Downtown San Francisco. Room rates are $239 per night. The 2-Day ITMA Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Course™will be held in a conference room at the hotel, which accommodates up to 10 registrants. Seating is limited.
The training contains all the educational requirements an individual needs for achieving the association’s prestigious ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier™ designation once the program, blind tea tasting, oral or written dissertation, and final examination are successfully completed.
Registrants will experience some of the most exquisite and often rarest loose-leaf teas from around the world. The training will also include: Health Benefits of Tea and Valuable Guest Service Skills.
