The International Tea Masters Association, now in its 11th year of operation, is coming to majestic New York City with its ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier Course™ for becoming a Certified Tea Sommelier™, one of the most prestigious titles in the tea industry. .
The training starts on November 2nd & 3rd, 2019, from 9am to 5pm each day, with the 2-Day ITMA Comprehensive Tea Sommelier Course™ held on-site at a facility to be announced. The 8-Week ITMA Tea Sommelier Tasting Course™ starts the following week involving home study, tasting and evaluating 18 different teas, and periodic online teleconferences to share experiences and ask questions. This will be followed by tasting and evaluating a Mystery Tea, a Report (oral or written) on a topic assigned by ITMA, and a Final Examination ($95 Examination Fee).
The training will be led in English by ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier™, Certified Tea Blender™, and Certified Tea Master Michael Siegel. With a strong background in tea and blending, and proprietor of his own coffee and tea establishment in Belgium, he promises to make this an especially memorable, life-changing experience for everyone.

The training contains all the educational requirements an individual needs for achieving the association’s prestigious ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier™ designation once the program, blind tea tasting, oral (5 minute) or written (4 page) dissertation with a subject assigned by the ITMA, and 100+ question final examination are successfully completed.
